Keanu Reeves reportedly in talks to join Marvel Studios 'Eternals' film

Ok, Avengers: Endgame is a really great movie which takes more than a single sitting or two to actually say you've had enough. The film which is still running in theaters and has earned about $2.7 billion in the box office so far, marked the end of Marvel's Phase 4 of its Cinematic Universe.

While we're all excited about how far the MCU has come and the possible introduction of new characters thanks to the acquisition of 20th Century Fox by Disney, there however, still remain the question of what would become of Marvel's Phase 4 as we move on from the heartbreaks and intrigues of the recently closed Phase 3.

While we aren't sure which franchise will kick off Marvel's Phase 4, it seem there's a lot of talks and rumors about "The Eternal", a film project which until recently, has remained a bit of a mystery.

Marvel Studio's Kevin Feige who spoke to Collider during Captain Marvel press tour last year, provided an update on " The Eternals" saying he is excited to see the project comes to life on the big screen.

He said, “You’re reaction about not being familiar with the Eternals is perfect, because most people weren’t familiar with Guardians [of the Galaxy] and believe it or not there were people that were not familiar with Avengers or with Iron Man,” Feige says. “So for us, its finding great stories whether people have heard of them or not and bring them to the big screen in as amazing a ways as we can.”

There has been a list of high profile casts for the film including Angelina Jolie. A latest report by MCU Cosmic claims Hollywood star Keanu Reeves who starred in "The Matrix" and currently in the John Wick movie franchise, is in talks with Marvel to join the cast. While the report says talks are on the way, it however, failed to reveal what role Reeves could possibly be playing.

It really would be an exciting development should Keanu Reeves who has been tipped before by fans to join Marvel Studios as the new Wolverine, to eventually join "The Eternals" film.
