Fani-Kayode Speaks on the 'Greatest Beast of All', here's what we think

Femi Fani-Kayode is a former Aviation Minister and Chieftain of the PDP, Nigeria's major opposition political party
Nigeria's former Aviation Minister and chieftain of the PDP, is not only known for being a thorn in the flesh of the current Buhari (APC) administration, but also being vocal on security and other social and religious issues both within and outside the country.

His courage and holistic take on important local and global issues as it affects humanity and specifically Nigerians and the Christian faith, has seen him attracted both friends and foes. While others see him as a beacon of hope for the voiceless and powerless, others see him as a politician who only dances to the tune that serves his political interests.

Irrespective of your views about his personality, he's known for making some mind boggling and startling revelations on issues responsible for current events in the country and the world at large. His latest piece focuses on the nature of man, and how humanity has personified evil for as long as can be remembered.

Below are the 4 major take home from his latest piece:

The Nature of Man

He began by highlighting the obvious state of human history which in his own words, "is littered with wickedness, cruelty, injustice, tragedy, butchery, carnage and mind-bending."

One need not look back 1000s of years to uncover what he also described as, "man's inhumanity to man." There's nothing happening today to suggest that humanity is any better. One could even argue that each passing generations seem to take "inhumanity" to fellow humans to a whole new level.

The Universality of Evil

The second point is that Evil is a universal thing and has been there for ages. In his own words, the "mass murder and genocide of innocents by the Assyrians, the Amalekites, the Canaanites, the Greeks, the Romans, the Medes, the Persians, the Egyptians, the Babylonians, the Mongols, the Romans, the Ottomans, the Incas, the Aztecs, the British, the Belgians, the Spanish, the Americans, the Japanese, the Russians, the Turks, the French, the Germans, the Australians, the Cambodians, the Nigerians, the Hutus, the Boers, the Chinese, the Arabs and so many more" have become a part of history and says a lot about how we got here.

Lives Have No Equal Value

The elites have tried so hard to cover the very fact that all lives are not equal based on current realities in the world. But we can't run away from the facts. It's like the fictitious animal farm tale where "all lives are equal, but some are more equal than others." In most cases, the ordinary poor masses are usually at the receiving end of all the injustices perpetuated in the world.

In his own words, Fani-Kayode says, "The human being is by far the most cruel, unfeeling, greedy, acquisitive, brutish, bloodthirsty, deadly and self-serving creature that the Lord ever created.

"We kill for fun, for pleasure and for sport. We kill to satisy our most basic and carnal desire for the primitive acquisition of land, power, treasure and wealth. We kill for vanity. We kill simply because we can.

"We prey on and slaughter the ignorant, the weak, the innocent and the vulnerable and, like satan, we feed on their flesh, drink their blood and strip them of their liberty, self-respect, dignity and all they have." Can't say it any better!

A Loving God

That our world today is in its pathetic state isn't at all surprising. Are we getting any better? That's up to you to decide. But in all of the evils going on in today's world, Fani-Kayode wraps up his piece with the good news that God still loves and cares for humanity.
